Go open your supplement drawer

Count the half-finished bottles. If it is more than five, I know exactly how you got there, because I did the same thing. I am not going to sell you a sixth. I want to tell you why the first five never had a chance.

01

I never planned to start a supplement company

I am not a supplement guy. I started one because the stuff I was taking was not working and I got tired of pretending it was.

Ashwagandha first, because everybody says ashwagandha. Then the proprietary blends, the ones with fifteen things on the label and a number next to none of them. Then magnesium on its own, because by that point I had decided the blends were the problem.

I gave each one long enough to be fair. That is the part nobody tells you about. Every bottle asks for six weeks before you are allowed to call it, so a year disappears in four decisions.

And every time, a few weeks in, I would catch myself doing the same thing. Standing there trying to work out whether I actually felt different or whether I just wanted to. If you have to squint that hard at it, you have your answer.

What I wanted was not complicated. Lower stress. Not feel wired. Not feel flat. Feel like myself without paying for it later.

02

Then I went back and read the labels properly

Not the front. The back.

Here is what I had been missing, and I felt slow for missing it. A label can name an ingredient that has real human research behind it, and still contain a fraction of the amount that research actually used. The name on the front does the selling. The number on the back does the working. And on most of what I owned, the number was nowhere near it.

Nobody had lied to me exactly. They just had not told me the amount, and I had never thought to ask.

03

I had heard of saffron for years and ignored it

It sounded like a cooking thing. An expensive cooking thing. It was not until about a year ago that I actually sat down with the research instead of skimming a headline about it.

The human trials on saffron and mood keep landing on the same daily amount. Roughly 28 to 30mg of a standardised extract. Not a range, not a suggestion. That is the figure almost all of it is built on.

Thirty milligrams is about ten to fifteen threads. Weighed. Every day.

Which is why buying saffron threads and dropping them into tea, the thing most people try first, is so unreliable. You are eyeballing an amount the research measured on a scale, from a spice whose strength varies bag to bag.

04

And saffron has a second problem nobody warns you about

It is one of the most adulterated spices in the world. Expensive by weight, sold dried, and easy to cut with something that looks similar. Anyone who grew up cooking with it already knows this. Most first-time buyers do not.

So a saffron supplement has to answer a fair question before anything else. Is this actually saffron, and is it the amount you say it is?

05

What we use, and why we name it

Mood Mod is built on affron®, a standardised saffron extract, at the full 30mg. Standardised is the word doing the work: each batch is measured to the same strength rather than left to vary, and it is the form the human trials were run on. Third-party certificates of analysis on request.

If you have read into this properly you may have hit the criticism that much of the strongest saffron research came out of Iran, which grows most of the world's supply. It is a fair thing to raise. Our extract is grown and standardised in Spain and its clinical work was run outside Iran. We would rather tell you that than have you find it and wonder why we did not.

06

It works alongside whatever you are already taking

This is not asking you to throw out your magnesium or stop your ashwagandha. It is one stick, in water, added to what you already do. No caffeine. No sugar. No crash.

If something in your routine is working, keep it. This is aimed at the part that is not.

07

Now the part most brands leave out

It is unlikely to do much in week one.

The human studies generally ran four to eight weeks, and that is the window where the clearest changes showed up. Some people notice something sooner. Plenty notice nothing for a few weeks and then realise, looking back, that things have been steadier for a while.

A 20 day bag runs out five days before the research says to start looking.

That is the real reason we point people at 40 days rather than a single bag. Not to raise the order value. Because one bag is a test you have designed to fail, and then you conclude saffron does not work for you.

08

What it is, plainly

One stick a day, stirred into water. Orange cream, no sugar, no caffeine. Alongside the saffron there is L-theanine and magnesium glycinate, both at amounts printed on the pack.

It is a drink rather than a capsule because that was the one consistent thing we kept hearing from people already sold on the ingredient. They did not want another pill to remember.

09

What it feels like, according to the people taking it

Not a lift. Not a buzz. What people describe is closer to feeling more like themselves, catching a small thing that would normally have set the day off and finding that it did not.

10

Who this is not for

If you are looking for something you feel in twenty minutes, this is the wrong product and caffeine is the right one. If you are on prescription medication, talk to your doctor before adding anything, including this.

If you have spent months and a drawer full of bottles trying to feel like yourself again, and every label said "supports" and none of them said how much, that is the specific problem this was built for.
