01 “Proprietary blend” is a way of not telling you the dose

A blend lets a brand list impressive ingredients without saying how much of each is in there. Legally the total has to add up. Individually, any one of them can be a trace. If a label gives you a blend weight instead of per-ingredient numbers, you cannot check it against a single published study.

02 30 mg affron® saffron, because that is what was studied

Not “saffron extract”, which tells you nothing about strength or standardisation. affron® is the specific standardised extract used in the published trials. The largest and most recent used 28 mg daily for 12 weeks in 202 adults. Other published work used 22 mg and 30 mg. Ours is 30 mg.

03 200 mg L-theanine and 100 mg magnesium glycinate, also printed

L-theanine is the amino acid found in tea leaves, and 200 mg is the amount most commonly used in the research on it. Magnesium glycinate is magnesium bound to glycine, chosen because it is gentler on the stomach than oxide. 100 mg of it, plus B6 and B12. That is the entire label.

04 Third-party tested, which matters more with saffron than most things

Saffron is the most counterfeited spice in the world. Estimates put 20 to 30 percent of commercial saffron as adulterated, and up to 60 percent in some markets. A standardised extract with third-party testing is how you know the number on the front corresponds to what is in the stick.

How do I take it, and when?

One stick a day, stirred into water. Most people take it in the morning, but the time of day is yours to pick. There is nothing in it that has to be timed around food.

When will I notice something?

The earliest signal in the research shows up around week two. Most of the measured effect is near its peak between six and eight weeks. This is why a thirty-day box tends to end before you have an answer, and why we built a sixty-day option.

What is actually in it, and how much?

30 mg affron® saffron extract, 200 mg L-theanine, 100 mg magnesium glycinate, plus vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. Every number is on the front of the stick. There is no proprietary blend.

Is it safe to take every day?

It is built as a daily supplement. In the published safety reviews, adverse events at the studied dose were comparable to placebo. If you are pregnant, nursing, or taking prescription medication, talk to your doctor before starting anything new.

Does it have caffeine? Will it make me drowsy?

No caffeine, and no sedatives. L-theanine and magnesium glycinate are not knockout ingredients, so it is not designed to make you drowsy and it is not a sleep aid.

Can my teenager take it?

Mood Mod is formulated and labelled for adults, and we don't have dosing guidance for anyone under 18. That's a question for your child's pediatrician.
